KeyHoleTV is a program to watch TV channels and listen to radio stations that stream their content through the Internet or through a cellular network. KeyHoleTV is a part of a project run by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs to test out P2P technology. Thus, the channels you can watch and the radios you can listen to are all Japanese, except for CNN, which can also be tuned in using this program.

The program’s interface is quite simple. It displays two tabs: Video and Program. The Program tab displays the list of available TV channels and radio stations. As some of them require a password, you will not be able to enjoy all of them. Double-clicking on any other entry will show you that station’s content in the Video window. If the selected choice is a radio station, you will just see a TV test card, while listening to the broadcast.

When watching a video, double-clicking on it will put the image in a new window, away from the program’s controls. Besides, you will not be able to change the size of the display.

Using another utility provided by the same company, KeyHole Video, will allow you to broadcast your own content through the Internet. KeyHole TV even allows you to chat directly with the broadcaster!
